I certainly wouldn’t have said so as most of my information on Ghandi comes tangentially from comments and snippets of article mentions, quick documentary coverage, etc.  Heck, I’ve never even seen the Academy Award winning movie as I figured it probably didn’t resemble reality.  Consequently, I found this article very interesting and intend to hunt down a couple good biographies.  Of course, I was pointed to this by Victor Hanson in the second article listed below.

Victor as usual hits it on the head.  The problem with California is its people who think more like Mao than Madison and suffer the resulting curse.  Too bad their ideas spread like a plague throughout the rest of America.  I hope California falls into rubble so all can clearly see that liberal socialism is hideous and have their minds set back toward freedom, liberty and capitalism.

I’ve never regretted rebuffing the many offers / attempts to get me to move to the left coast in my life.

VDH’s Private Papers:: The War Against Palin Goes On and On and.

Really stop and think the next time you want to say, “I really like Sarah Palin, but couldn’t see her as President”.  Why not?

I’d vote for her tomorrow and sleep much better with her in the white house than with any democrat and 99% of any republicans considered as contenders.

No one can legitimately claim she is less experienced than the “organizer in chief”, heck, almost no one with at least a college degree who’s held a private sector job for more than a week can be claimed to be inexperienced or unqualified after Obama.

The stunning decline of Barack Obama: 10 key reasons why the Obama presidency is in meltdown – Telegraph Blogs.

Remember all this whenever the moronic left decries any candidate as “unqualified”.  Sarah Palin’s career dwarfs Obama’s union-sympathizing, May-day, community organizing resume, yet she was the one targeted as unqualified and gaffe prone.  Laughable if it weren’t so tragic.

Barack Hussein Obama is definitely the least qualified person to hold the office of President of the U.S.A and very likely the least qualified to even get his party’s nomination.  Heck, even the one thing one might have argued he stood a chance to accomplish, a reduction in race tensions, he’s actually multiplied.  So much for the great unifier.  Here’s hoping that the real unification will be the American people in November 2010 and 2012 making their voices heard loud and clear…  screw socialism and better dead than red!

CNN Poll: Majority says government a threat to citizens rights

via CNN Poll: Majority says government a threat to citizens’ rights.

Maybe there is hope given that this apparently “astonishing poll” reflects the firmly held belief of the crafters of the U.S. Constitution.  Government is an evil.  A necessary evil, but evil all the same and is to be kept small and easy to stomp on when it starts to do what it must by its nature… restrict freedom of the individual.

Want to fix the economy?  Want to fix healthcare?

  • Reduce the number of regulations everywhere.
  • Reduce taxes across the board.
  • Reduce all levels of government employment.
  • Break the unions in all government hiring so the weak and the lazy can actually be fired.  (Throw in the completely evil NEA while you’re at it).
  • Introduce “loser pays” tort reform.

That would do for a start as there would be such a boom as hasn’t been seen since at least the post-WW2 or 1980s boom and would likely be even bigger than that.  Then the problem just becomes keeping those that feel guilty for living in the greatest country ever on earth to keep from gaining power and undoing what makes it great.  Once we leave this obamanation behind, let’s vow to never return.  Let our rally cry be, “Remember Carter and the obamanation!”.
